It would be impossible to separate Cornell's history from that of the Psi chapter of Zeta Psi. As the very first organization and fraternity on Cornell's campus, the Psi chapter has had a tremendous influence on our university. The first graduates of Cornell were Zetes. The first editor of the Cornellian, our yearbook, was a Zete. Henry Schoellkopf, a Zete from the class of 1902, helped found the tradition of Slope Day.

The Psi Chapter continues this great legacy 142 years later. We excel athletically, academically, and professionally. Zeta Psi has placed in the top 10 in inter-fraternity athletics for each of the last three years, and has had brothers on club teams ranging from lacrosse to soccer. In the past two years, our chapter has had members who were valedictorians, members of Quill and Dagger, and Rhodes Scholarship nominees. Many current undergraduate brothers have published or co-authored papers that have been acknowledged across the country, and some have been invited to present at major scientific conferences.

The Psi Chapter's achievements have also been recognized by Zeta Psi internationally. We have been recognized as a chapter of excellence in each of the last six years, and have won the Zeta Psi Academic Excellence Award two years in a row. This award is given to the chapter with the highest GPA internationally. Recently, the Psi Chapter was awarded a Silver Escutcheon for the second-highest number of brothers to show excellence in knowledge of the secret rituals of Zeta Psi International.

Each semester, Zeta Psi hosts a variety of brotherhood development events. This year, the brothers have gone on house sponsored golf outings, go-karting trips, and trips up to Turning Stone Casino. Our social calendar is always jam-packed with mixers, formals, and some of the best parties on campus. Life is never boring as an undergraduate Zete.

In addition to these Zeta Psi exclusive awards, we have also been recognized as an outstanding Cornell Fraternity as well. In the past two years in a row, we have won the award for best cultural program, highlighted by our signature cultural weeks in the Fall and Spring. In addition, this past year we won the award for Most Outstanding Chapter, only given to three chapters in all of Cornell’s Greek system. Our chapter has truly stood out within Zeta Psi as a whole, and also on Cornell’s campus.

Members of the Psi Chapter enjoy access to the benefits available to undergraduate Zetes around the world. Zetes receive a 10 percent discount on all JobBound and Kaplan Test Prep services. Zetes receive internships from alumni and the Grand Chapter. Zetes gain access to a career services office and elite career programs like the Washington Scholars Fellowship Program, in which they are housed for a semester or a summer in Washington D.C, receiving exclusive internships and fellowships on Congressional Staff and numerous national organizations and agencies. The similar New York City Scholars Program gives undergraduate Zetes access to business-oriented internships in New York, and the science-oriented SELF program offers students and recent graduates access to high quality internships in scientific and tech-oriented fields.

After graduation, Zetes continue to receive professional benefits, including access to Zeta Psi's online Job Bank, which is maintained and updated by volunteers to inform members of new openings for professional positions. Zete alumni also receive career counseling services, the ability to network with other successful Zetes, and access to social gatherings in cities all across the United States.

At the end of the day, the thing that truly makes Zeta Psi so great is its brotherhood. We put a great deal of effort in choosing the right people. The result is unparalleled experiences and opportunities through Zeta Psi in a house that prides itself on nothing more so than the cohesiveness of its brothers.
